Our Alumni always have a way of sharing their successes and giving back. Recently, musical theater alum Tré Frasier joined cast of the Angelica Tour of Hamilton. Now he wants to give back to the school that helped him on his path. On Tuesday, December 11, Tré will conduct a master class to musical theater students. During the session, he is expected to talk about his personal experiences, give insight into the industry, and conduct group workshops and personal coaching to present Academy musical theater students.
As part of its program, the academy invites guest artist throughout the school who share their industry and artistic insight with students. Along with studying daily with artist instructors, the masterclasses give students other chances to learn firsthand from professional artists. This particular masterclass is unique in that the Academy is now the only school in the state to have a cast member of Hamilton visit and teach.
Tré graduated from the Academy in 2014 where he studied musical theater in the half day program. During this time, he performed as Seaweed in the spring musical of “Hair Spray” and Billy Bigelow in “Carousel.” Prior to being cast in Hamilton, he was a performer in the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and the Great Lakes Theater Festival.
