Marian, or the True Tale of Robin Hood (Teen Edit) In this hilarious new take on the classic, modern concerns and romantic entanglements clash as Marian and her Merry Men defend the vulnerable and fight for a world where love can flourish in all its guises.
Directed by Hannah Simms and Produced by the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Half-Day Program the production features a cast of actors from across the school and original music composed and performed by students in the Music Department.

After the matinee performance at 2pm on December 14th award-winning playwright and Connecticut resident, Adam Szymkowicz will be joining the cast for post-show conversation about Writing for the Theater, Building a Community and a Practice.

Choreographers’ Showcase is a rare opportunity for high school dancers to learn and perform dance pieces by acclaimed choreographers. The performance brings world-renowned choreographers, and their original works, to the Learning Corridor's Theater of the Performing Arts, in Hartford.
There will be a pre-show reception celebrating Kim Stroud, Funds from this ticket will create a new Dance Department scholarship.
This year, the Academy presents the following work: José Limón’s Psalm staged by Nina Watt, Urban Bush Women’s Walking with Trane staged by company member Tendayi Kuumba, an original work by alumnus Rickey Flagg ’09, Laura Glenn’s Presidential Tango staged by Alexa Melonopoulos Fleury, and faculty member Thomas Giroir has created a new piece for our students.

Join us on Wed., Oct 23 for our Chamber Concert Series. This will be held in our Recital Hall located in the Main High School Building at 15 Vernon. The Performance will begin at 6:30 sharp, with the lobby opening at 5:45.
This event celebrates the work of our Music Department students, and features a variety of vocal and instrumental styles.
Tickets are $5 . Parking is free in our Learning Corridor Parking Garage located at 2 Brownell Ave.
