Every year, from February to April, the Academy’s spring musical cast goes into rehearsal. For the 2020 production of Matilda, it didn’t seem like anything was going to be different. Then Covid-19 shut the world down and theaters everywhere fell silent.

Yet as the saying goes, the show must go on. These artists have found a way to do just that. Using recording software, pit musicians and the cast alike rehearsed and recorded their individual parts using a backing track as reference. The files were then uploaded to a Dropbox where the audio was mixed and video edited. The result is this production of “Revolting Children.” We hope that you enjoy. Watch below.
