Our Campus

The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts - Half Day is located at 15 Vernon Street on Hartford’s 16-acre Learning Corridor campus, immediately adjacent to Trinity College. Built in 2001, this $110 million, pre-K-12 campus provides educational opportunities for students from across the greater Hartford area.

Specialized Learning Spaces

The Academy fosters the creative potential of each student with specialized learning spaces that include acting and music studios, nine dance studios for use across multiple disciplines, dedicated music practice rooms, piano labs, a recording studio, a digital music lab, visual arts studios and galleries, a dark room, a scene shop, and a costume shop.

Performance Venues

The Learning Corridor is also home to the Academy’s performance complex: Theater of the Performing Arts. The complex includes a 637-seat, Main Stage theater, a 150-seat Recital Hall, a reconfigurable Black Box theater, and a dedicated art gallery atrium. The multi-purpose venue is home to all Academy performances and gallery openings, but also opens its doors to the community as a professional rental venue for a variety of activities.
