Hartford Magazine’s list of 2022 list of notable “40 under 40” features two alumni of the Academy, Miles Wilson-Toliver 2013 and Jasmine Agosto 2006.

Singing worldwide since age 9, Miles always felt a calling to use music for a higher purpose. Recently, he is the  founder of “Voices of Hartford.” As the group’s director, he mentors citizens in

Hartford’s north end helping black artists in the region. Through the “Miles and Friends” mentorship, he helps young artists with simple things such as marketing themselves; things he says are not part of a regular music conservatory program. Miles graduated from the Academy’s musical theater program in 2013. In 2012, he played the lead role of Coalhouse Walker in Ragtime, the spring musical of that year.

Jasmine Agosto is the founder of “SageSeekers Prodouctions.” In 2018, she launched the first “La Sala Femme” which showcases the artistry of womxn, non-binary, trans, and queer folks of color. The event was originally launched in Hartford but has also performed for audiences in New Haven as well.
