Academy alumni Zaccai Curtis is the 2025 Grammy Award winner for his album “Cubop Lives.” The award is in the category of Best Latin Jazz Album.  The album is on Curtis’ own record label “Truth Revolution.”

Zaccai graduated from the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Half-Day program in 1999. He has since released 6 albums. He currently on the music faculty for University of Rhode Island, Western Connecticut State University, and the Hartt School of Music.
